CPU 2 test at ice level was about half the fps as the Island test 27 fps average out of 4 runs. The GPU test came out 46 fps average out of 4 runs.
I also always score around in 3DMark Sounds about right. I get around in the second test you mentioned, and 50FPS in the last one, with the new score in my sig being my peak on 3Dmark06 and that's with Dual Ultras. So yer definitely running good Should boost your FPS even more. If you have high end cards, you can set everything to Medium that it says to set to Low, 'cept Volumetric, Game Effects and Post Processing, leave those on low I thought this rig would do OK.
It seems to run everything I throw at it great, except of course Stalker. If you got 3dmark score with two ultras then I'm more than happy with my little Zotac amp GT cards.
I was eying up that Pydon mod, but haven't downloaded it yet. If thje weather sucks again today, I'll try it out. Well, that score definitely tops my GTS s for the moment: 3DMark06 points I'll be happy to get another points - so I can move from 2nd in Category to first Goddess, I'm playing at x Yeah, your scores are great then Excal.

Ahhh she looks like a she to me man I downloaded and installed Pydon's latest mod yesterday before I went over to my Bud's and consumed massive quantities of white Russians.
The new mod seems to work great, and that's with the I had some issues with his first mod and I reinstalled Crysis. I noticed very little if any change in the fps in Crysis with this mod. I'm going to hunt down Goddess's config file and tweak the game a bit. It really does do nothing to the performance- which is good. The thing I don't like about it is it makes night too dark- an island out in the middle of nowhere on a clear sky really would have a moon that bright Can't expect to climb the mountain without a serious walking stick.
A single GTS while a great card, is not going to handle something made for the next 3 generations of graphics cards AKA Crysis very well, that's just the way it is. Do you think once we have a GT Crytek will release a patch fixing this as well as the draw distance?
If you look at the screenshots on the incrysis website they look vastly better than my screenshots all on Very High at x, even with 16XQ CSAA enabled Granted, it's less than 1 FPS, but it still comes up on my monitor so I know what it looks like. Not sure if you have looked at Goddess's High Quality thread, but within that thread is a modification project I am working on.
Which alters several of the Engines "hidden" shader features ect. In attempts to replicate the original "Crysis" footage you are referring too. Within that forum topic are several screens of my "work in progress. Yeah, what Hooks said, and my Mod file fixes the draw distance and Level of Detail system so that the game looks a lot better and adds pretty HDR effects for those that have a single GT or better to enjoy :biggrin:.
It looks great so far! Can't wait to see it finished! Do you think Crytek will release a patch enabling this kind of quality in time, or we stuck with what we have currently? I played through the first Crysis level with patch 1. The level looked and played fantastic. I had nice fps usually between 40 and 50 X high and custom settings. I got past the cut seen and when I jumped over the cliff at the end I got the, "Crysis has encountered an error" message and it went to the desktop.
I'll try it again to see if it repeats the error, or not. I have crashes about every forty minutes with Patch 1. Also, the game will screw up and not load sections- like at the end of 'Recovery', Prophet is nowhere to be found and the path through the underwater cave is blocked or in Relic after I defeat the nanosuit guys the VTOL doesn't show up.
The only way I get through said parts is by restarting the level. Thanks for the heads up malware! Downloading as soon as I get my system back together :D. Ummm, does this help improve gaming performance to make it more playable?
